About Estia

Abandoned in a cane field, (you've already read that somewhere on this website haven't you? 😅), it's a bit of a habit here in Mauritius! I got caught in a really strange cage, there was food at the bottom and it closed all of a sudden when I got inside. I can tell you that the experience was a bit traumatic.

After that, I was taken to a place where there were lots of other four-legged dogs and it was not easy for me.

Today, it is different, even if I remain on my guard, I really want to play with others and discover the human. They all give each other big hugs, why don't I try it too.

My godmother gave me a really beautiful name, Estia, she's the goddess of fire, like my coat, half fire, half black, which really suits me.

However, I will need the opposite to thrive, a calm and soothing structure so that fire doesn't matter to her ☺️ It will probably take a little while for me to trust but we do a lot of work here at Indie's.

Lately they've been putting a collar around my neck and walking me around on a leash. Right now I'm a little uncomfortable with it, I don't really understand why. But hey, they seem to like it. ☺️
